Hello, my name is Sue Wilde and my daughter is Katy Wilde. I am 61 and katy is 27 now. We are " WildeAnimalArt " and this is our very basic website in the making still as I really don't know what I'm doing, so please  bare with us while we try to fathom out how to put it all together.

We were both born in Somerset and both brought up in the countryside around all different types of animals. My passion for animals flows into my art and every day life and I'm sure katy would say the same. There are some subjects that one of us is better at which I suppose is normal .  I have done two Galleries here, one for myself and one for Katy, so as to make it simpler.

Personally I love painting in a few different medium's as I get bored using just one.  I started when I was about 6 or 8 years old with just simple pencils and any bits of paper I could find or scrounge off my parents.  Then once I left home to work with horses at 16,  I was able to buy a sketch book and decent pencils even though I was only earning £5 a week lol.  Obviously my main subjects were horses,, horses, and more horses. Sadly I lost all my early work when I trusted some random guy who approached me one day after seeing my art and promised to get me noticed and get me to a exhibition etc  sadly that's the last we heard of him and he took all my art too. Still makes me mad now .  When I was about 25 I discovered Pastels ,  messy but so smooth to blend which I loved. I did alot of commission's in pastels but quite often forgot to take a pic of them, easier now with everything digital.  Then I did a few oils which I also loved with the lovely rich texture but so long to dry .  Then came watercolour and then lastly Acrylics,  again I love both for different reasons,  good to have a variety I think.  I find different subjects are more suited to different medium's.  At the moment I have a pastel of a GSD on the go, plus a acrylic of a black panther a Fox in watercolour and fourth a small wooded scene in Acrylics again.  Absolutely love painting trees, so watch this space more trees to come as katy and I have two exhibitions coming up later in the year around August time, so we both need to get on to produce a few more framed Originals,  I have loads of ideas, but just need to get on and paint lol.
